5 JULY 2002 ------------------------- PUT YOUR ART TALENTS ON DISPLAY AND YOU MAY BE JUMPING FOR JOY FARMLIFES ANNUAL ART COMPETITION IS ALWAYS HUGELY POPULAR, ATTRACTING ENTRIES BY THE
BOXFUL. BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR IF YOURE A BUDDING ARTIST – WERE RUNNING A SPECIAL ONE-OFF ART COMPETITION AS PART OF OUR SCHOOL MILK MATTERS CAMPAIGN KIDS, if
youre between five and 11 – and have artistic flair – then heres your big chance to win prizes that will make you bounce with delight. Enter our art competition and you could win one of two
exciting Super Tramp trampolines and see your work published in farmers weekly. Together the prizes are worth nearly £650 – so if you want to win a trampoline, jump to it and unleash your
artistic impulses. Milk Matters is the theme of the competition. We chose this because it reflects our current School Milk Matters campaign, which aims to encourage more schools to provide
free and subsidised milk. It also presents many opportunities for imaginative artwork. So, your entry can be any shape or size, and you can use pens, crayons, paints, collage – any medium
you want. All we ask is that its of a milk-related subject. It could be a cow, milk – fresh or packaged – a tanker or even somebody drinking milk, to give just a few examples. Its entirely
up to you. What the judges are looking for are pictures that display originality, talent and, ideally, are bright and colourful. There are two categories: age five-and-under; and age six-11.
The winner of the younger group will get a Super Tramp Frog trampoline worth £239. The winner of the older group will get a Prince 18 worth £399. (Both are pictured left). A selection of
the best entries will be published in Farmlife. Dont worry, the judges will take age into account – so even tiny tots will have a chance to win. Work should not be traced and must be the
original work of the child. So, that means youll have to resist the temptation of helping out, mums and dads (except when it comes to filling in the coupon!) Send your entries, with the
completed coupon, to: Art Competition, farmers weekly, Quadrant House, The Quadrant, Sutton, Surrey, SM2 5AS to arrive by Fri, Jul 19, 2002. Sorry, but work cannot be returned. The editors
decision is final and the usual competition rules apply. Super Tramp can be contacted on 01884-841305 or emailed at [email protected] Check out their website at www.supertramp.co.uk
_Mums and dads. We hope youll encourage your child to enter this competition. Its a chance, after all, to help develop their artistic talent and spread the word about the importance of
school milk. If you feel strongly about this, you could even cut out this page and ask your son or daughter to show it to their teacher. Hopefully, theyll then encourage everyone in the
class to enter._ _farmers weekly Art competition_ _Name ………………………………………………………………………………_ _Age …………………. Name of parent/guardian ………………………_ _………………………………………………………………………………………._ _Address
