there is something to suit anyone's taste buds.
For many, a popular go-to order for lunch was the Chargrill Chicken Oval Bite. First launched in 2016, the sandwich offered foodies a lighter, healthier option that was ideal for the warmer,
summer months.
Despite being a fan-favourite, its absence has been noted by devoted fans who usually order the sandwich, with one taking to a Reddit subforum dedicated to the bakery chain.
They wrote: "Chargrill chicken oval bite been taken off the menu?
"I’ve literally checked 5 different Gregg's locations in the past week and they haven’t had the chargrill chicken oval bite in stock. They don’t even have the little name tag on shelves, are
they axing this? It was my favourite since I was wee and I'd be devastated lol."

in."
However, it looks like the fan-favourite has officially been quietly removed from the menu, with a Greggs spokesperson reportedly confirming to the Sun that it was axed to make way for the
new Roast Chicken Salad Roll that launched in May.
Other foodies flocked to the same post to confirm it was no longer available, as another responded with: "Ye they've got this rubbish roast chick sub instead, sorry to break it to you OP."
Someone else added: "Sadly it is gone. There is a Roast Chicken and Honey Mustard which is as close as it gets. Its not bad but I did prefer the original."
The new Roast Chicken Salad Roll replaced the fan-favourite item(Image: Greggs) Although, one user did advise that the new roast chicken sandwich was virtually the same as the fan-favourite,
writing: "It's now called roast chicken. It's basically exactly the same. Give it a go!"
The Chargrill Chicken Oval Bite, which cost £2.50, boasted chargrill chicken pieces that had been drizzled with honey mustard mayonnaise, tomatoes, cucumber and salad leaves that had all
been packed in seeded bun.
It was part of the beloved bakery chain's lighter menu that launched back in 2016, offering foodies a selection of cold sandwiches, wraps and rolls that were said to be under 400 calories
each.

Meanwhile, the new roll that it has been replaced with, which is fairly similar, features sliced roast chicken breast topped with tomato, cucumber, mixed leaf salad and seasoned mayonnaise
in a white and wholemeal roll.
According to a description on the bakery chain's website, it is also another health choice for those looking to make better choices, as it is said to come in at just 336 calories.
It comes just after Greggs recently excited foodies with a whole brand new summer menu, with savoury options such as pizza slices and a red pepper, feta and spinach bake, alongside sweet
treats such as a new lemon meringue muffin.
