COLDWATER LAKE, MI (WTVB) – Nearly 40 boaters were on hand last Saturday as the Coldwater Lake Association’s first boater safety class of the season was held at the Coldwater Lake
Association building.
The class was led by Branch County Marine Patrol officers Josh Vickers and Mike Spencer.
Boater safety classes are available online, but in-person classes are highly encouraged.
Under State law, those born on or after July 1, 1996 must have a Boater’s Safety Certificate to operate a boat.
Those born on or after December 31, 1978 must have a Boater Safety Certificate to operate a personal watercraft.
The next boater safety class will be held on May 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Coldwater Lake Association building on Warren Road.
