THREE RIVERS, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater High School girls varsity soccer team gave up a 2-1 second half lead and fell at Three Rivers 5-2 Tuesday night.
Marissa Cox got the Lady Cardinals on the scoreboard first, converting a penalty kick three minutes into the game. After Three Rivers tied the score with 19 minutes to play in the first
half, Coldwater retook the lead early in the second half on a goal from Jenni Hernandez, assisted by Cara Miller. The Wildcats then scored three goals in a three minute stretch to take the
lead, then added an insurance goal with 12 minutes to play.
Taylor Robinson had five saves in goal as Three Rivers outshot Coldwater 12-6.
The Lady Cardinals are now 1-2 on the season. They are now off until they travel to Leslie April 13.
