The intelligent use of environmental tools has been observed in tusk fish for the first time. Photos show an individual tusk fish using an anvil to crack the shell of a small mollusc, in
order to access the meat inside. The use of tools was long thought to be a uniquely human skill but in recent decades, some primates and birds have also been found to possess the ability.
