(October 14, 2015) – The latest update to the ISAF Match Racing Rankings has not disrupted the leaders, as Ian Williams (GBR) and Camilla Ulrikkeholm (DEN) have retained World #1 in the Open

and Women’s Rankings. However, eager to upset the order are North Americans Taylor Canfield (ISV) and Stephanie Roble (USA), both sitting second in the rankings. Open Rankings There is no

change in the top seven of the Open Rankings following two Grade W events – the Argo Group Gold Cup and the ISAF Youth Match Racing World Championship. Sam Gilmour (AUS) took the title at

the ISAF Youth Match Racing Worlds in Swinoujscie, Poland with a commanding performance. He defeated defending champion Joachim Aschenbrenner (DEN) in the final by three points to one which

was coincidentally the reverse of the 2014 regatta where the Dane was victorious over the Australian. Gilmour retains World #5 whilst Aschenbrenner advances up to World #18. Marcus Ronnberg

(FIN) completed the podium and as a result, climbs up to World #24 from #51. Former Open Match Racing World #1 Adam Minoprio (NZL) made an emphatic return to the match racing scene at the

Argo Group Gold Cup in Hamilton, Bermuda as he defeated Keith Swinton (AUS) 3-2 in the final. Minoprio’s last ranked regatta was the Monsoon Cup in November 2013 and he showed that class is

permanent in Bermuda. Minoprio’s victory pushes him from World #243 to World #125. Swinton was made to settle for silver but he does move up the rankings to World #13 from World #21. A

further 42 regattas from Grade 3-5 took place in the current period as the European sailing season wraps up. With such a large number of regattas, changes in rankings are inevitable. Click

here for the Open Rankings. WOMEN’S RANKINGS Stephanie Roble (USA) moved within touching distance of World #1 Camilla Ulrikkeholm (DEN) following her victory at the Buddy Melges Invitational

in Sheboygan, USA. Roble overcame Anne-Claire Le Berre 3-1 in the Final of the Buddy Melges Invitational Final to secure maximum ranking points. As a result Roble is just six points behind

Ulrikkeholm (DEN) in the Women’s Match Racing Rankings. Ulrikkeholm finished sixth in Sheboygan which was enough for her to hang on to her top spot. Lotte Meldgaard, recently announced as an

ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Nominee, missed out on competition in Sheboygan and drops down one spot to World #8. Next on the hit list for the Women’s Match Racers is the 2015 Busan
