Who could do this? That’s what people in Minnesota and beyond are wondering right now. A reward is being offered for information leading to finding the person who tossed a tortoiseshell cat

from a moving car on May 2 in Roseville, Minnesota. According to KARE 11 news, the cat suffered broken teeth, three fractures to her hind leg, and lost skin on her paws and tail, which

required amputations. A Good Samaritan witnessed the feline being thrown from the car and braved traffic to save her from the road. Officer Jason Gehrman responded to a police call about the

incident and rushed the cat to the University of Minnesota Veterinary Medical Center, where doctors helped her but couldn’t provide long-term care for the kitty, KARE said. Gehrman decided

to call on his dad, veterinarian Dr. Bob Gehrman, for help with the cat’s recovery. “Yeah, he probably called in a favor,” said Dr. Gehrman. “He’s definitely very sensitive to the needs of

animals.” Surgery revealed that the cat – now named Blue in honor of Police Week – had injuries so severe, the vet had to amputate portions of her front paw, back leg, and tail. Blue may

need another amputation later and will require at least six weeks of care. But it sounds like the cat’s story could have a sweet ending: Officer Gehrman is considering adopting Blue if the
