removed from the plane after passengers spotted an empty bottle of whiskyNewsKelly-Ann Kiernan News Reporter15:55, 04 Jun 2025Updated 15:56, 04 Jun 2025 A suspected drunk man was dragged off
a flight after reportedly throwing up on a fellow passenger moments before take-off. Footage from inside the aircraft showed the man looking worse for wear as crew members surrounded him.
One flight attendant tried to lift him up from his seat as other members of staff removed his rucksack from the plane.
According to reports, EVA Air flight 45 was about to leave Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport when passengers heard retching. The man had vomited on his seat and on the passenger in front
of him just before take-off. The footage shows the man appearing to be dazed and limp, other passengers reported seeing an empty bottle of whisky and some said he smelled of alcohol.

Stand up, stand up, please stand up."
One witness told local media: "The cabin door was already closed, and then that person started vomiting. There was an older man on his right, and when he saw him vomiting, he immediately
stood up.
"The flight attendants later helped move that older man's seat, but that whole row was then blocked off and no one could sit there."

delay. The lost time was made up for in the air and the flight landed in Vienna, Austria, on time.
The witness recalled: "It smelt heavily of ginger duck with lots of alcohol. He probably drank it before boarding. His friend wasn't asked to get off, only he himself was removed."
EVA Air has been approached for comment.
The flight crew made sure he was escorted off the plane(Image: Jam Press) Last year an unnamed drunk British tourist was arrested after allegedly indecently assaulting an air stewardess on a
flight to Majorca.

consent. Civil Guard officers were waiting for the plane when it touched down at Palma Airport.
The pilot radioed ahead on the flight from Manchester, to say the unnamed Brit, who was travelling with a friend and was drinking, had caused problems during the flight by bothering other
passengers, shouting and vaping while on board.
Officers had originally intended to remove the accused passenger from the plane and report him for breaching air security so he could be fined. But they arrested him on suspicion of sexual
assault after a British air stewardess on the flight made a complaint.
