Its ironic that just the other day I wrote a post on My Beef with Modern Day Spirituality and I have this happen to me today… Most recently I began studying a type of astrology know n as
Evolutionary Astrology. It’s a school that emphasizes on using Pluto and the outer planets to understand a soul’s evolutionary journey and life purpose. (_not your average what’s my luck
kinda everyday astrology_) This process helps an individual identify potential past life trauma signatures and paints a picture on what impact or influence these trauma could play out in
this life and how an individual can liberate themselves from these karma. It’s actually an incredible tool to help people understand what can bring them happiness and life satisfaction past
especially those who’s had a lot of traumatic experiences in this life and feel lost or alienated as a result. _WHAT HAPPENED…?_ Well I joined a group on Facebook which composed of these
Astrologers. As a newbie and a curious soul, I start asking questions which in some ways challenge certain existing structures and ideas. Long and behold in the middle of a conversation, I
was booted out without any warnings or messages. Ironically, minutes before I was booted, the Admin even left a comment saying that she loved my challenging perspectives. _I can’t help but
laugh…._ Does it suck? Of course, you’d think people would have the cutesy of saying this is too much before booting without a message or notice of any sort. And for what, because I asked
questions that may challenge their view of the world? That a newbie is purposing a different idea where Astrologers of decades can’t be bother to think or ponder on? The thing is, I don’t
think I know more, but its the very fact I don’t think I know which prompts me to ask these questions in the first place. If I have it all wrong, I’m more than happy to understand what went
wrong in my thought process. But to boot me based on the fact I have a different idea just goes to show how much people just pay lip service to claiming spirituality. _Its a weird feeling…._
There ‘s a sense of detachment and clarity on my end. I’ve come to learn that people’s reactions are just projections of themselves. Usually you have two potential possibilities: 1) Anger
because what you said triggered them and they become defensive trying to take you down or 2) Anger because the statement is false and misleading. Sometimes its hard to tell one from the
other because both comes in the emotional form of anger, but this is well self awareness comes in and through the self analysis and understanding, you may have a clue as to which one you
are. MASK OF SPIRITUALITY This mask has become a epidemic in the spiritual and new age communities. It’s a badge or label to wear that seems hip and cool. This mutated form of spirituality
with almost a s superiority complex, look down on the masses and pass judgement. _Why get mad at a question?_ It’s when they are challenged that you will see how they react. They will call
you passive aggressive, they will think you are attacking them, or even feel hurt. But in truth, it’s just a question, a conversation on the validity of a statement, why it is and isn’t so.
Ultimately, the answers may bruises the ego and challenges their expertise One of the most common reactions is “who are you to ask?” But why is it I need to be someone to ask the question?
Does that really change the nature of a discussion? I don’t believe so. Its just another way to deflect _the difference between wisdom and knowledge._ Yet so many of these people, claim
themselves to be spiritual or wants to present themselves as such. The truth is, its the blind leading the blind and the most dangerous thing is the blind is claiming not to be blind. Wisdom
comes from an embodiment of knowledge, while knowledge is just the awareness without application. _LET GO OF THE MASK_ Spirituality is not about who’s better or who’s worst who gets more
brownie points. It’s about a way of life respectful to your true self and in harmony with the truth.
