NORTH HOLLYWOOD — A car that was abandoned on the train tracks was struck and destroyed by a Metrolink train Thursday, authorities said. The train, traveling about 65 m.p.h., hit the car at
6 p.m. at the Coldwater Canyon Avenue crossing near Raymer Street and pushed it for about a quarter of a mile, Metrolink spokesman Peter Hidalgo said. “The engineer saw the car on the center
