It’s a problem anyone gladly would have. Administrators, teachers and students from the Tustin Unified School District will decide during a workshop today how to spend $500,000 in private
grant money for the science laboratories of two local high schools. Biologists, chemists, and engineers will assist about 30 workshop participants at Toshiba America Inc. in Irvine to design
the facilities and select the equipment for the science labs at Tustin and Foothill high schools. Linda Jennings of the Tustin Public School’s Foundation said that the two schools have been
promised $250,000 each through the Irvine Company Challenge Grant to equip their science laboratories. “We want to know what we need in those labs to prepare these kids for the year 2000,”
said Jennings, executive director of the 5-year-old foundation, which is coordinating the fund-raising efforts for the science labs. MORE TO READ
