including their May 8 performance with the Kronos Quartet at the Wadsworth Theater, has been canceled due to cost constraints. The management for the Brazilian jazz instrumentalist is

attempting to reschedule the trip sometime after the release of his new recording in July. Meanwhile, the Kronos concert, featuring the West Coast premiere of Philip Glass’ Quartet No. 5,

will go on without Pascoal. In his place, Kronos is attempting to line up one of the African composer-musicians from the recent “Pieces of Africa” recording. MORE TO READ
