In response to “He’s Tapped Into the City’s Wasteful Water Practices” (by Bob Pool, Metro, Sept. 24): I certainly agree with Edwin Neumann. I am furious every time I go into the restroom of
a department store or restaurant or any public place. The faucets in the bathrooms in 90% of the aforementioned places constantly leak or have a stream of water pouring from them. This goes
on 24 hours a day--day in and day out and no one seems to care. I always try to tighten the handles to no avail--they need a plumber to repair them. I cannot understand why no one fixes
them. When I mention this situation to salespersons, they just shrug--not their job! All these businesses want to make a buck (as we all do) but when the water is gone the buck won’t matter.
