Kaz Deyna, a member of five San Diego Sockers championship teams between 1981 and 1987, had a blood-alcohol level of .20%, twice the legal limit, when he crashed into a parked truck and was
killed on Sept. 1, the San Diego County Coroner’s Office said.
Deyna, 41, had a history of drunk driving. He was convicted three times in San Diego Municipal Court of driving under the influence.
