An 18-year-old Burbank man died Wednesday night after he lost control of the motor scooter he was driving and slammed into two parked cars, Burbank police said.
The man, Mark Wright, died of head and internal injuries at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank at about 9 p.m., three hours after the crash, said Sgt. Robert Kight.
The accident occurred as Wright was driving at about 45 m.p.h. on Brace Street just north of Crest Ridge Drive near Brace Canyon Park, Kight said.
