Hermosa beach : insurance plan endorsed

The City Council granted conceptual approval to participation in a self-financed municipal liability insurance pool being set up by the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority. The

council agreed, however, not to join the pool until the city’s insurance policy with Planet Insurance Co. expires in December. The pool is expected to get under way this summer. The council

voted to delay final approval until the city attorney is satisfied that the pool is legal. Cities interested in the pool are required to conceptually approve participation this week. MORE TO
