GEOLOGISTICS FORMS PUBLISHING LOGISTICS PROGRAM    GeoLogistics Corp. has created a program to provide logistics and freight transportation services to the publishing industry, and has

appointed Susie Scally to head the program.    “Components of the book-making process tend to be widely dispersed and customer demand can force crucial deadlines,” said Bob Arovas, president

and chief executive officer of GeoLogistics. “So we've customized a program of global air, ocean and ground transportation, customs brokerage, warehousing, data tracking and reporting

and a dedicated customer service team specifically for the publishing industry.    Scally, a 15-year veteran of the freight forwarding industry, is director of publishing services for

GeoLogistics Americas, a division of GeoLogistics Corp. She is based at GeoLogistics office in Carlstadt, N.J.    “Sheet-fed color printing operations tend to be located in southeast Asia

and China, while many assembly and bookbinding operations are concentrated in the United States and the United Kingdom,” she said. “The world's major publishers in London, Singapore,

the U.S. and Australia require the same high degree of information visibility and critical timing of shipments of a just-in-time manufacturing process.”    GeoLogistics, a non-asset based

global logistics provider, has 1,000 service centers in 140 countries and annual revenues of $1.5 billion.
