COSCO, Evergreen drop U.S. East Coast calls from China loop COSCO Container Lines and Evergreen Marine will later this month stop calls to the U.S. East Coast on their joint weekly
China-U.S. East Coast Service, which started in March. The vessel “Lausanne” will make the final calls at Savannah and Port Everglades on the CUE service when it calls Sept. 10 and Sept.
12, respectively. As a result of the changes, the CUE service will instead use seven ships of about 2,800 TEUs instead of eight vessels and have a revised port rotation of Shanghai;
Yantian; Hong Kong; Cristobal, Panama; and back to Shanghai. Evergreen’s Italian subsidiary Italia Marittima also takes slots on the CUE. Details of the revised service are now
available on ComPair Data, the global liner-shipping database, at http://www.compairdata.com.
