In response to a rising number of coronavirus cases, this week Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced a curfew for businesses within the hospitality sector. Restaurants, pubs and bars will
now have to close by 10pm. The new restrictions are a move the Government hopes will help contain the spread of coronavirus. In recent weeks the UK has seen a rise in the number of COVID-19
cases recorded, prompting concerns about a second wave of infections. Public Health England said on Thursday, September 24 a further 6,634 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed - the highest

coverings will need to be worn while visiting a hospitality venue, but do not have to be worn while eating or drinking. The new rules have now come into force and will be in place for the
foreseeable future. The PM has warned the current lockdown rules could remain in place for at least six months if cases of coronavirus do not decrease. The introduction of the restricted

been included in the Government’s new curfew rule, meaning you will not be able to pick up a takeaway after 10pm. However, delivery services will still be able to operate after 10pm under
the new rules. You will also be able to use drive-thrus at your favourite fast-food venues, such as McDonald’s and KFC. The Government said: “Businesses and venues selling food for
consumption off the premises, can continue to do so as long as this is through delivery service or drive-thru.”
