A true powerhouse that could give the Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck a run for their money, Apple's new iPhone 15 Pro is capable of running triple-A video games like Resident Evil
Village, Resident Evil 4, Death Stranding, and Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Unfortunately, however, it's not all good news, because the aforementioned games will cost a lot more than your
typical gaming apps. Indeed, prices have been revealed for the Resident Evil 4 Remake on iPhone 15, and it's not cheap. While the app itself can be downloaded for free, upgrading to
the full game will cost a whopping £57.99. According to VGC, fans can purchase Weapon Upgrade tickets for upwards of £7.99. Then there's the Extra DLC Pack, which costs £15.99. For US
customers, the full Resident Evil 4 Remake experience on iPhone 15 and other compatible devices will cost $60. It's unclear how much fellow blockbuster releases will cost on iPhone, but
expect similar pricing to their console counterparts. It's a far cry from the average cost of gaming apps, which tend to cost no more than a couple of pounds. On the plus side, the new
iPhone 15 Pro uses hardware-accelerated ray tracing for the first time on smartphones, which should result in a console quality gaming experience. According to Apple, hardware-accelerated
ray tracing is up to four times faster than software‑based ray tracing, something which will deliver superior lighting and shadow effects. The iPhone 15 Pro also utilises MetalFX Upscaling,
which is said to combine the performance of the GPU and the Neural Engine to produce "high‑resolution graphics while using much less power". In theory, this means you'll be
able to play blockbuster games for longer, and without using as much battery.
