table, convincing 700 environmental activists of their solutions to global warming. The pick-up line at the 'Carbon Dating' event in London had absolutely nothing to do with coffee

or drinks or who would go home with whom. Instead, climate change and carbon trading proved to be the keywords. Party members were out in their oratorical best, trying to woo the other

side. Opposition Conservative leader David Cameron, who has made climate change and the environment core issues for his party, said that global warming should not be a party political issue

as everyone was responsible for it and should be involved in the matter. But Menzies Campbell of the Liberal Democrats emerged as a hot favourite, thanks to his knowledge of foreign

policies, which won the support of activists interested in development issues and global warming.
