showcased during salone del mobile 2013, the modular ‘bikini island’ sofa by werner aisslinger for moroso introduces an easy-to-arrange furniture landscape that invites the user to configure
their personal space. the project includes various soft components in three different heights – from a low daybed to circular seats or stand-alone pieces. additionally, small containers and
coffee tables can be integrated. a series of tube metal frames with plant holders, small shelving units or curtains give various options to create special areas and zones around the sofa
island. as part of the collection, a series of minimalistic wooden chairs are also presented. with their morphing colors, various fabrics and bent leather applications, the ‘bikini wood
chairs’ are conceived as hybrids between the dining and restaurant chairs.
