Brindleyplace(Image: Tamlyn Jones) Caribbean restaurant and bar Turtle Bay is looking to open a second Birmingham branch, receiving approval to serve alcohol at the newly-renovated 10
Brindleyplace. Turtle Bay, known for its two-for-one cocktails and bottomless brunches, has one existing location in Birmingham, on John Bright Street.
A notice has been posted outside the building, which is currently undergoing a major refurbishment programme, stating Turtle Bay Hospitality Limited intends to serve alcohol and host
'regulated entertainment' at the address. The licence will allow the sale of booze between 8am and 1am Sunday to Thursday, and 8am and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.
It'll also allow the sale of 'late night refreshments' between 11pm and 1:30am from Sunday to Thursday and between 11pm and 2:30am on Friday and Saturday. The licence has been granted by
Birmingham City Council.

Renovations to 10 Brindleyplace are coming at a cost of £38.8 million, redeveloping buildings 8 and 10 to make one single floor by floor open office space of 212,000 square feet. It will be
home to new fitness facilities, including a bouldering wall, and visitors will enjoy two communal landscaped roof terraces.
Turtle Bay has been on John Bright Street since 2014 and the busy spot has garnered pretty good reviews from those visiting to sample the Caribbean flavours and booze deals. Curried goat and
jerk chicken are on the menu as well as tropical, sunny cocktails.

options - their 'allergy menu' is easy to read. The food is delicious - as is the ginger beer. Staff here are friendly and welcoming too."
Lee Harris also gave it a five star review, commenting: "First visit and I can't wait to go back. From the moment we stepped through the door the staff were very friendly and attentive,
service was amazing and the food to die for. 2 for 1 on cocktails. Highly recommend."
The newly refurbished building is set to open in the summer.
