Jennifer Sauer 

Jennifer Sauer, MA, is a senior research advisor in AARP Research working on topics including retirement security, consumer fraud, and economic-related advocacy issues. Her research is both

qualitative and quantitative and delves into state and national data. 

Before joining AARP, Jennifer managed the research function within the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute’s Department of Biobehavioral Medicine and Oncology. While attending graduate school at the

University of Pittsburgh, Jennifer managed grant-funded research conducted in Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Department of Pediatric Psychiatry and Medicine and served as a research

assistant for the Office of Child Development and the School of Public Health.  

She holds a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Pittsburgh and bachelor’s degree in sociology from the State University of New York.
