ABOUT Jazmine Cooper is a senior project advisor for the Center to Champion Nursing in America (CCNA), an initiative of AARP Foundation, AARP and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. She
coordinates several projects of the Future of Nursing: _Campaign for Action_, an initiative of the same organizations that CCNA runs to transform health care through nursing and build
healthier communities. Her work supports the _Campaign’s_ effort to diversify the nursing workforce by helping nursing programs that serve primarily students from marginalized communities.
Through promoting the importance of mentoring, the _Campaign_’s goal is to help retain, graduate, and prepare students to pass the nurse licensure exam (NCLEX). She also provides technical
assistance to the _Campaign’s_ state-based Action Coalitions on their fundraising, and coordinates speaking engagements that promote the _Campaign_. Earlier, Cooper worked for AARP Services,
Inc. as a quality assurance analyst. Jazmine obtained her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bowie State University and her master’s in business administration from the University of
Maryland University College. CONTACT For media inquiries, call 202-434-2560 or e-mail [email protected].
