2021 AARP Community Challenge - Orlando, FloridaAARP Community Challenge funds were used to purchase and install "Tables of Connection," which are solar-operated, wheelchair-accessible tables that serve as Wi-Fi hotspots and charging
stations for wireless devices and laptops. Installed at Prince Hall Park and Willows Park, the tables, which are rated to withstand 175 mph winds, bring needed connectivity to two
neighborhoods where as many as 57 percent of residents lack broadband service. Local artists painted the concrete pads upon which the tables sit with positive images that were created with
input from local residents.
The AARP Community Challenge funds "quick-action" projects that build momentum for local change to improve livability for people of all ages.View and share this video on YouTube
