Fortnite season 5: first skin leaked, map changes and new locations

Fortnite season 5 is starting next week with fans getting a whole bunch of new skins and rumoured map changes in Battle Royale. The Fortnite season 5 Battle Pass is launching on Thursday

July 12 on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Mobile. While the release date and start time (9am BST) is a certainty, the rest of Fortnite season 5 is shrouded in mystery. There are plenty

of rumours swirling around Fortnite season 5 though and a number of alleged leaks. It’s been claimed the cracks in the sky caused by the Fortnite rocket launch may be a sign of a tear in

time and space in the Battle Royale universe. And that’s helped spark fans theories that Fortnite season 5 could see fans travel back in time to bygone eras. Recent Fortnite season 5 leaks

have seemingly added weight to these theories, and you can check out leaked pictures in the gallery in this story. So far one alleged leaked Fortnite skin has emerged online, which appears

In the alleged leaked Fortnite season 5 skin a female Battle Royale character is pictured wearing an Ancient Egyptian headband, golden shoulder armour and a dress. The character is also

pictured in a sandy setting, which seems to hint towards a new point of interest coming to Fortnite Battle Royale. Other alleged Fortnite season 5 leaks have added more weight to the time

travel theory. Fortnite leakers on Twitter have obtained pictures of alleged assets from Fortnite season 5. Images they have found appears to show parts of the Wild West point of interest

that is rumoured to appear in Fortnite season 5. While other assets appear to be taken from a more recent setting, which looks like 1940s/50s/60s America. Think Grease and you can imagine

the type of setting it looks like these assets have been taken from. Finally, another apparent Fortnite season 5 leak appears to show an elementary school that will be added to Battle Royale

soon. The Fortnite Battle Royale Leaks Twitter account has been one of those leaking alleged locations for Fortnite season 5. Alongside one set of pictures they said: “Here's just one

of the many POIs we may see in the upcoming update/next season. A Stripmall!” Elsewhere, one YouTuber claims to have obtained the first footage of Fortnite season 5 in action. Fortnite

player and YouTuber SensationLIVE has posted a clip claiming to show the new map coming with Fortnite season 5. The YouTuber said he was handed the video by a Fortnite player who was timed

out of a game and it then “put him on a Battle Bus in season 5”. The short clip of the alleged Fortnite season 5 map shows multiple islands that players can travel to. Popular locations such

as Tilted Towers and Pleasant Park remain on the Fortnite map but have moved to different locations. During the video SensationLIVE says: “I think what’s happened here is this is going to

take us back in time to when the map was at a younger stage.” The short clip also shows the Fortnite Battle Royale map with high tide levels at certain sections. This could lend weight to
